This month in our spotlight: RecaSoft. The editing software company founded in 2012 by Andrew Robertson is a real 21st century success story, supported by the strong economic climate of Reca. We had a good chat with Andrew about his company. “I would not be where I am today without Reca's favorable tax climate.”

In 8 years, RecaSoft has grown from a start-up to a listed technology giant. How do you explain the rapid growth of your company?

Andrew: “I see it as a combination of multiple factors. First of all, the quality of my employees. There are a lot of young talented programmers in Reca. This is due to the high quality of the faculty of computer science of the University of Reca. The creativity and persistence of these young employees were critical to the rapid growth of my company.”

Did Reca's economic climate play an important role in the success of your company?

“Of course! Before founding the company, I looked for about a year into where to establish it. I considered Silicon Valley for a long time, but in my opinion that area is on the decline. The political climate is also far from ideal, which is not the case in Reca. I would not be where I am today without Reca's favorable tax climate. Not spending half of your income to taxes, leaves room for further investments. The government of Reca is very supportive for new businesses.”

Do you have any recommendations for young people who want to start their own technology business?

“Just do it! Reca provides the perfect climate for new technology firms. We have the resources, the investors and plenty of talented IT people coming from school.”
